This January Asim took on a new role of Chief Information Officer at Avidity, expanding upon his previous Chief Technology Officer role. In his new role he will be accountable for group insight, reporting and operations including fleet. This is in addition to IT which comprises technology strategy, technology procurement, network and infrastructure, service and support, toolkit, capacity and demand planning, end to end delivery and supplier management.

Asim has a passion for technology and transformation, bringing people, process, systems and data together to deliver change and improve organisational performance.

On his appointment he comments “ I think it’s important not to keep technology in a silo. To improve and innovate, a business must be able to see the end to end process, so this is something I have pushed for since joining in 2020. I’m excited to take on this new challenge and hope to not only improve our processes and modernize our business – but also increase efficiency, improve ways of working across the business and achieve a better work life balance for the whole team.”

Working across a variety of senior role in this 22 year career, Asim has led global teams to deliver digital strategies, complex business change, target operating and delivery models, support services, operational and customer experience, resulting in significant growth, cost reduction, improved customer satisfaction and increased employee engagement.
